Loom Club: A new era of community-centric social and co-working spaces in London
In an era marked by digital connectivity, the desire for authentic social connection is stronger than ever. Loom Club, a unique coworking and social space in Islington, meets this demand by fostering a close-knit community hub for its members. Since opening its doors in June 2024, Loom Club has positioned itself as a space where work, wellness and community converge seamlessly. Offering elegantly designed workspaces, a fully equipped fitness area and inviting social spaces, Loom Club aims to be the ultimate destination for those seeking a balanced lifestyle that integrates work, health and social interaction.
Loom Club’s commitment to fostering community is evident through its diverse programming. From fitness classes to engaging community events such as cooking pop-ups, gallery openings and art classes, the club actively encourages its members to mingle and unwind. Beginning 21 October, Loom Club introduced ‘Loom’s Kitchen’ a chef residency series that celebrates culinary creativity with intimate dining experiences led by talented chefs. This programme not only offers members a taste of innovative cuisine but also reinforces the club’s mission to create meaningful, memorable experiences.
A space shaped by the neighbourhood
More than just a co-working venue, Loom Club is an embodiment of local culture and community values. Named after the concept of a ‘living room’ Loom Club has been designed with the neighbourhood in mind, tailoring its offerings to align with the needs and interests of Islington residents. It’s a space where members can easily transition from work to wellness activities to social gatherings—all under one roof. Through thoughtfully curated events, wellness classes and options for private venue hire, Loom Club encourages its members to connect deeply with both the club and the local community.
Located at Unit 23, The Ivories on Northampton Street, Loom Club is ideally situated within a vibrant hub of creativity that includes architects, designers, chefs, dancers and artisans. Bathed in natural light, this industrial gem provides the perfect setting for creativity and connection. Its design mirrors the essence of Islington, making it a natural gathering point for locals who value both independence and interconnectedness.
Mission and values
Loom Club
Loom Club’s ethos is built on four core principles: Localism, community, impact and wellness.
Localism: Loom Club is devoted to promoting local engagement, encouraging members to embrace their surroundings by choosing local businesses over large chains and by nurturing a sense of belonging in their own neighbourhood.
Community: Loom Club is built on inclusivity and empowerment. It aspires to foster a genuine sense of belonging—something that many brands attempt to promote but few truly deliver.
Impact: Dedicated to minimising its environmental footprint, Loom Club emphasises hyperlocal, plant-based choices. Its mission includes striving for sustainable practices, such as being partially employee and neighbour-owned.

A culinary partnership with Georgia Gallacher
Loom Club
To enhance its community offering, Loom Club has partnered with Georgia Gallacher—former general manager of the Michelin-starred ‘Pidgin’ and founder of Table 13, a pioneering plant-based supper club. Started 31 October, Gallacher brings her culinary expertise to Loom Club’s kitchen, hosting exclusive weekend dinners with seasonal, thoughtfully curated menus. Her approach combines inventive plant-based dishes with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, aligning perfectly with Loom Club’s commitment to community.
With Gallacher’s special evenings planned throughout November and December (and possibly extended), these dinners provide an intimate experience for members and locals alike. Guests can enjoy a set menu of seasonal dishes paired with carefully selected beverages, embodying the club’s mission to celebrate both creativity and community. For more information on dates and bookings, visit the club’s scheduling page.
Loom Club is redefining what it means to connect in an increasingly isolated world, crafting a local haven that prioritises genuine human interaction and community growth. Through its blend of workspace, wellness and social offerings, Loom Club invites Londoners to experience a new kind of community-centric lifestyle.
